Well I guess that's the risk you take when you write something multichaptered. You impulsively want to post it as soon as you've got one chapter done, but then there's always real life looming that may interrupt your initial plan.
So the only multichapters I've written thus far for this fandom are with Katy. In other fandoms I was prone to stopping once my energy for a story stopped. I'm far happier writing oneshots and things.
And in this fandom, I've realized that chaptered fic is different from what I'm used to. Some people stop around 1000-1500 words and call it a chapter when I'm used to a chapter being about 3000-4000 (you can obviously tell that Katy feels the same way if you slog through our chapters).
It may bug you to not be constantly posting it, but if it's my own work, I'd rather go at my own pace and be happy with what I've posted and 'signed my name to' in the end. If that loses readers well, then that's life. I mostly write for my own entertainment :)
